Camilo Mora-Navarro, Ph.D. (2017 – 2021): Camilo is now employed as a full-time Assistant Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department at University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez.

 

Undergraduate Research Assistants

Keith Abbey ( 2021) 

I am a junior majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Neuroscience. My research interests include tissue and neuroregeneration, stem cell applications, and engineering of biological scaffolds. I am excited to translate my passion into performance by being a part of this lab.

Mario Garcia, B.S. (2019 – 2021) 

Biomedical Engineer with a minor in Philosophy. My research interests include regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. I look forward to the experience and skills I will gain working in this laboratory.

Amber Detwiler (2019 – 2021)

My research interests include biomaterials, regenerative medicine, and the overlap between genetics and bioengineering technologies. I am currently studying cellular properties and interactions in bioengineered skin grafts.

Drew Diserafino (2019 – 2021) 

My research interests include stem cell research, regenerative medicine, and tissue engineering. I am excited to gain research experience and skills in this laboratory.

Cameron Angulo (2020 – 2021)

My current research project aims to create a decellularized bone hydrogel capable of inducing mineralization to provide a model for tissue regeneration.
