Biography

Daphne joined the REdesign lab as a Ph.D. student in 2019 after completing her BS degree in Engineering Science, Biomedical systems at the University of Toronto. During her undergraduate education she conducted research in modelling hypoxic tumour microenvironments at the University of Toronto, and developed an analysis pipeline for a scalable screening platform at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. In the UNC – Chapel Hill/NCSU Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering, Daphne focuses on regenerative engineering and will be investigating vocal fold lamina for tissue repair.
